Although it is commonly known as Botox, Botox is actually the trade name for botulinum toxin. Botulinum toxin is popularly known as snake venom, but this is false information. Botox is a toxin derived from a bacterium called Clostridium Botulinum. This toxin acts at the neuromuscular junction and prevents the muscles from contracting, and in this way, it is effective in the treatment of wrinkles and has been used safely in the world for many years.

If you have a habit of using your mimics too much, over time, the muscles will contract and wrinkles will appear on the skin. These wrinkles can be dynamic or static. Dynamic wrinkles that occur with movement can be easily treated with botox. Filling applications are also required in the wrinkles that can be seen in the static, i.e. resting position.

Botox, which takes a very short time, is often used for forehead, eye area (crow’s feet), frown lines, nose wrinkles (rabbit lines), neck bands, lip and chin wrinkles, as well as teeth grinding treatment, chin thinning, eyebrow lifting, migraine and sweating prevention. is also used. It takes the old and tired expression on the face and gives you a fresher and more vigorous look.

It is a painless procedure of about 10 minutes that you can have even in intense work tempo, but you may feel a slight burning in that area while the procedure is being performed, anesthetic creams can be used for this and you can return to your normal life immediately after. Botox effect starts on the 3rd day 7-10. It reaches a maximum in days. I advise my patients not to lean forward for the first 4 hours, not to rub the treated area, to restrict activities such as sauna, Turkish bath, pool, hairdresser, and to pay attention to the sleeping position for the first night.

Botox application has been used for many years in the world and it is a very reliable application when applied by experienced physicians who are experts in the field.
